Program Services Offered 

The Source Verified Good Wood® program provides the following services for our members:

  1. Forest Source Verification according to our program guidelines and standards;

  2. Chain-of-Custody design, set-up, training, and auditing of compliance;

  3. Promotional marketing;

  4. Exploring and growing new opportunities in green building, new wood products, and markets.

Why Participate?

If you are a wood seller, by becoming a member of the Source Verified Good Wood® program you will benefit by:

  • Being included in marketing to buyers interested in buying from, and supporting, the GoodWood® program.

  • Customers will know your products are Source Verified Good Wood approved by seeing the logo on your products, packaging, and marketing.

  • Customers will see your company’s name on our website and be able to search your company by product and location. 

How to Participate

If you are a wood business, sign up for a Forest Verification and Chain-of-Custody assessment by contacting the Program Manager for an application. Once you are approved as a member, audits will take place at least annually to ensure products are being tracked and documented properly.

 

Membership fees vary depending on the size and complexity of your wood business. 

 

If you are a forest manager and would like to see if your forest restoration projects qualify in the GoodWood program please contact the Program Manager to apply.  An assessment will be completed to see if the project qualifies.
